Ophidian I won Wacken Metal Battle Iceland and goes to Wacken Open Air 2013.
Black metal band Azoic took 2nd place and technical death/trash Blood Feud the 3rd.
On the 6th of April Concert Hall Harpa experienced the extreme metal invasion served by the annual competition Wacken Metal Battle Iceland.
Six promising bands fought to win a placement at Wacken Open Air.
Show was opened by warm-up band Trust The Lies, which played short energetic set.
After this aperitif the real war broke out!

To calm the public down atmospheric show performed by last year’s winners – Gone Postal started. Incense sticks on a stage, black hoodies on the band members, this is what cached the attention.
Final point of the evening – after announcing of the winners – was the show performed by the biggest Icelandic Viking-metal band Skálmöld, which played full one hour set.
