Nine – is the first song from the upcoming record of Morgan Kane. Their first EP will include 6 songs and will be released in March by Synthadelia Records. We’ve decided to take a closer look at this band. It’s really worth it!
Morgan Kane is a band of five Icelanders – Magnús Þór Magnússon – vocals & guitar, Jakob Veigar Sigurdsson – bass, Baldur Sigurgeirsson – lead guitar, Stefán Örn Sveinsson – drums and Tinna Katrín Jónsdóttir – vocals & keyboard. They has been playing together for four years, but have never released any material before. They have just been focused on playing live, and making the live show better. The band have tried to record before, but it wasn’t what they were looking for. They wanted to capture the live feeling on a record, so they have three failed attempts on recording the EP. Eight months ago Morgan Kane started to record EP with their friend. And they did it! The band recorded six songs and their EP is coming out in March through the internet record label – Synthadelia records.
Their music is influenced by artists like The stranglers, Joy Division, Interpol, Modest Mouse. I just wanted to add that the band is going to play a lot of live shows in the near future to give the record a good follow up. They would love to come and play in Poland, as they have good friends from Elk. I hope we will see them on the stage somewhere on the Polish tour!
